An upgrade to the very popular profinder 5000 the profinder 6000 has an increased detection depth of 1 7. The franklin sensors prosensor 710 advertises a shallower depth of finding 1 5 to the 1 7 advertised on the profinder 6000. The precision sensors profinder 6000 professional stud finder is wide enough that it can detect multiple studs at the same time. Long story short once i found the studs i was able to rotozip the drywall with confidence in order to relocate a wall box.

Precision sensors stud finders sense more deeply than conventional stud finders in both ideal and real world conditions. This makes projects around the house that easier to deal. In desperation i ordered this precision sensor profinder 6000 professional hoping that it would work. One improvement over the older model is that the 6000 has an improved max detection depth.

It had no trouble finding the studs and of course the multi led display is fantastic for visualizing the exact stud locations. Otherwise there is a lot of documentation on the franklin 710 that is lacking when compared to the profinder 6000. Maybe there are some patent wars going on but these two finders appear to be very similar. Just hold the precision sensor profinder 6000 professional up to the wall and press the button.

The built in bubble level and pencil caddy are nice touches as well. Walls are full of inconsistencies.
